The developer job is easily manageable even on remote, if you know what you are doing and the team is up to the task and communicate properly. IPASVISS project is a clear example of that.
The all operation was coordinated by a really gifted Project Manager. Together we analyzed the client needs, joining effort with the system administrator we were to develop an efficient solution combining a remote and on premises software.
So, while living in Canary Island I built a CMS based on a custom framework (written with the MVC pattern) to manage contents, events and, the tricky star feature, sync the subscription of the health care personnel association (the project take the name guild name) on the provincial, than regional and national level combining the data and keeping track of the resulting information, on a certain level, to manage and promote relevant, educational, event.
